One prompt builds a full terminal theme readability test card
johnlindquist · x · 2026-10-27
John Lindquist shares a delightfully simple AI coding trick: ask "help me check my terminal theme for readability" and the AI builds a complete demo card covering body/bold/italic/dim text, confusables (00 o0 lI1|rn m), ANSI color blocks, syntax highlighting, diff lines, warnings/errors, selection highlight, links and box drawing — everything you need to judge a theme from the back of the room.
