Machenta raises $40M to teach robots from a single demonstration

London-based robotics startup Machenta raised $40M co-led by USV and Creandum. Its pitch is "instant robot learning": anyone can teach a robot a task with a single demonstration, and the robot adapts when things change — closing the gap between buying a robot and getting useful work out of it. USV argues this could make small jobs economical to automate and bring robots into dynamic environments where tasks rarely repeat.
