User questions mysterious OpenAI violation email: no in-app alert, phishing or broken classifier?
natesiggard · x · 2026-10-27
A user shared an OpenAI email notification and questioned its authenticity: the email flagged account violations but contained no actionable details, and there was no corresponding alert inside the app. The user says they weren't doing RED-team activity and had been doing the same development and deployment work since the account was opened — suspecting either a phishing campaign targeting OpenAI users or a broken classifier on OpenAI's side.
