Hyphenate (formerly Maximor), an autonomous finance platform for the office of the CFO, announced a $45M Series A led by Nexus Venture Partners, bringing total funding to $54M.
- Revenue grew 86x in a year; customer base grew 11x in 12 months, including six public companies
- Self-learning agents now run 90% of routine finance work: cash reconciliation, sales orders, invoicing, subledgers, advancing the close
- Coverage spans order-to-cash, treasury, procure-to-pay, GL accounting and reporting
- CEO Ramnandan Krishnamurthy: once a team sees the system handle one workflow to an auditor's standard, they hand it the next one
A strong data point for the thesis that finance is where AI agents land first.
