IBM Launches Verifiable Identity and Control for Enterprise AI Agents
emmanuelvivier · x · 2026-10-27
At TechXchange 2026, IBM announced agent governance capabilities: HashiCorp Vault's Agent Identity gives each AI agent a governed, verifiable identity with least-privilege access and real-time revocation, while watsonx Orchestrate unifies agent discovery, containment, and evaluation across Amazon Bedrock, Microsoft Foundry, and Google Gemini. Citing Gartner, IBM notes the average Fortune 500 will run 150,000+ AI agents by 2028, yet only 13% of organizations believe their governance is adequate.
