Indie dev ports taliri to Firefox-based browsers in a week after a $49 refund
theteknosaur · x · 2026-10-27
An indie dev shares a customer-driven pivot: a user bought taliri's $49 annual subscription but refunded because it didn't run in the Zen browser. Spurred by that, the dev spent the week porting it—taliri now works in Firefox, Zen, and other Firefox-based browsers, with an add-on link published.
Screenshots show the product: an in-browser language-learning tool that pops up dictionary cards on words in Wikipedia pages, with pronunciation, meaning, occurrence counts, and SRS-style memory progress (Met/Familiar/Asked/Practised). A neat case of a single refund directly driving feature expansion.
