ODS launches weekly $500 dev jam for local AI builds, ~$50k yearly budget
TheZachMueller · x · 2026-10-27
The local AI platform ODS announced a Weekly Dev Jam: $500 every week for the coolest project built in ODS, with winners featured on official accounts and standout projects possibly shipped with the platform.
Key rules:
- Build anything (game, tool, app) with Portal in ODS using your own prompts
- Any model up to 180B parameters, local or via API
- Post a demo video in weekly-dev-jam; entries close Sundays 11:59pm UTC
Combined with the existing monthly OSS contributors program, the team expects to spend $50k per year. The showcase example is Elf of Doom, a dungeon crawler built in ODS on an NVIDIA RTX Spark, running a Qwen8-Flash-Next model locally on the laptop.
