Machenta exits stealth with $40M seed to build robots that learn from a single demo

Robotics startup Machenta has come out of stealth with a $40M seed round co-led by Creandum and USV, unveiling a new kind of robot foundation model for "Instant Robot Learning."
Key claims:
- Trained entirely in simulation with zero real-world data
- Learns unseen tasks instantly from a single human demonstration — no hours/days of data collection or training
- Closed-loop, end-to-end policy that reacts to new situations and recovers from disturbances
- One model works across robot types: a demo shows three different robots collaborating on an assembly-line task, automating it "in minutes by a single person"
- Steerable behavior: showing different interactions with the same objects yields different learned behaviors, which the team calls "physical vibe coding"
The company says it will keep "tripling down on the Bitter Lesson."
