Roblox research scientist turns personal site into a playable tiny world model: 'your website is the new resume'

Tianpei Gu, a research scientist at Roblox working on real-time video generation and world models, launched a gamified personal website riffing on the idea that "your personal website is the new resume." The homepage features an interactive "my room" mini world model and a paper-style layout with Abstract, Introduction and citation metrics.
His background: he built research data infrastructure from scratch at startup Morpheus for real-time video generation, and worked on real-time human video generation and large-scale data systems at ByteDance. He argues good infrastructure isn't separate from research — it shapes which experiments are possible and how fast you can iterate.
