Jeffrey Lee Funk questions the Broadcom-Anthropic chip supply deal: if AI were truly the greatest technology ever, why would Broadcom's CEO have to twist banks' arms to raise money? Because banks have already risked their existence on smaller AI deals, and this arrangement is effectively circular financing — a customer (Anthropic) borrowing to buy Broadcom's own chips, with tightly correlated risk.
