opentel-mcp ships Python support with failure fingerprints matching its JS version

opentel-mcp, the library that catches MCP "silent failures" (isError inside a successful response, which standard OTel logs as a green span), now ships both npm (v0.17, full features) and PyPI (v0.1, core) packages. A shared 446-case conformance suite plus a 16,000-input adversarial fuzz run found zero fingerprint mismatches, so mixed TS/Python fleets align on one dashboard.
- npm additions: staleness detection (asOf + maxAgeMs/freshUntil in meta), agent retry-loop detection, schema drift, per-call cost tracking, per-tool A–F health grades; SDK v1/v2, stdio and HTTP
- PyPI core: silent-failure detection, fingerprints, categories, metrics; works with mcp SDK 1.25–2.x; staleness/thrash/cost ported next
- Both never capture tool arguments/results, scrub tokens/API keys/JWTs, and never throw into your server
- Honest caveat: Python mcp 2.x already marks isError via its own OTel tracing, so the value is metrics/fingerprints/categories/scrubbing/dashboard; opentel-mcp replaces only the tools/call span by default (the SDK logs raw stack traces that can leak secrets), with sdktracing="enrich" to keep it
