Allowance Bar: free open-source Mac menu bar app to track multiple Claude/Codex/Cursor account limits
Pilingo · reddit · 2026-10-27
A developer released Allowance Bar, a free MIT-licensed Mac menu bar app that tracks usage limits across multiple AI coding accounts. It shows 5-hour and weekly limits with reset countdowns for any number of Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Gemini accounts, offers a floating window in three sizes, pay-as-you-go balances for OpenRouter/DeepSeek/Kimi/Z.ai/Venice plus Claude API spend, limit alerts, and a read-only CLI so coding agents can check their own limits. No telemetry — it only reads locally saved logins. Most of the Swift code was written by Claude Code.
