Researcher says Apple sat on his iOS vulnerability credit for 8 months
kingslyj · x · 2026-10-27
Security researcher neonmodder123 publicly criticized Apple's handling of his iOS vulnerability report: the flaw was patched in iOS 27.0, but the promised CVE and credit kept getting delayed. Screenshots of his exchange with Apple's Product Security team show Apple blaming publishing timelines, yet the iOS 27.2 advisory still omits his name.
He notes it has been 8 months since his report and asks Apple to at least reward him for the finding.
