Anthropic auto-pushes a Claude plugin to nonprofits, Claude Code included free
emarkosov · reddit · 2026-10-27
Anthropic released the Claude for Nonprofits plugin (Oct 26), auto-installed on nonprofit Team and Enterprise plans at no extra cost, with Claude Code included free. The plugin is a set of skills and connectors built with 30 nonprofits.
Skills cover grant/donor research with cited sources, RFP eligibility review, proposal and report drafting, funder call briefs, hiring with interview guides and rubrics, 90-day onboarding plans, and board prep. One skill maps where the org keeps donor data, grant files and policies, saving that map per user when memory is on — a pattern worth copying at any company; another answers "is this use allowed?" from the org's own AI policy.
Context: 25,000+ nonprofits use Claude, over 75% with fewer than 10 seats; verified nonprofits in low/middle-income countries get 90% off, bringing a Team seat to $3/user/month. Anthropic says this is the first of several planned releases for the segment.
