X forces "Paid Partnership" label on unpaid Kimi K3.1 Pro tweet, locks author's account
RazRazcle · x · 2026-10-27
Ramez Naam revealed that X locked his account for a factual retweet of Artificial Analysis's Kimi K3.1 Pro benchmark (conclusion: the open/closed gap is now 5 weeks, the shortest ever), forcing him to apply a "Paid Partnership" label — the only path to unlocking the account, with appeals allowed only after the label is applied.
He notes hearing Moonshot AI has paid people to tweet positively about Kimi, but stresses he has never taken money for tweets, calling the mechanism disappointing.
