Humanoid robots join Bosideng garment factory, handling fabric for collar and sleeve sewing
CyberRobooo · x · 2026-10-27
A fleet of Aitu humanoid robots is now working at Bosideng's intelligent factory in Changshu, Jiangsu.
- The robots separate, pick up, and align fabric pieces before feeding them into sewing machines for collars, sleeves, and front plackets, powered by a sewing-specific embodied AI model
- The factory has over 90% of key processes automated, with connected equipment and real-time order/quality tracking
- Flexible fabric handling still relies on increasingly scarce skilled workers; humanoids fill the gaps between specialized machines
The takeaway opportunity: automate the gaps between machines — standardized steps go to dedicated equipment, dexterous fabric work to humanoids.
