DeryaTR_ clashes with Eric Topol over whether GPT-4 findings extend to GPT-6
DeryaTR_ · x · 2026-10-27
Eric Topol argued that findings from GPT-4 studies "stand" until comparable studies are done on GPT-6 or Opus 5.5, accusing DeryaTR of rejecting the data without evidence for sustained human upskilling. DeryaTR pushed back: equating GPT-4 with GPT-6 has no scientific basis given their enormous differences in capabilities, architectures, and behavior — conclusions must be directly tested on current models, and the burden of proof isn't his. The spat highlights a real methodological dispute in research on AI's impact on human skill.
