First systematic data center noise study: 17 of 25 hyperscalers drew no credible complaints
AndyMasley · x · 2026-10-27
Nic Carter, working with AI agents, produced the first comprehensive study of noise from America's 25 most massive hyperscale data centers. No credible noise complaints were found for 17 of them, and no facility over 800 meters from the nearest population cluster received meaningful complaints — suggesting the noise problem is real but very solvable.
