Revolut CEO says most VCs are cheerleaders — keep them off the field with no voting rights
davidsenra · x · 2026-10-27
Revolut CEO Nik Storonsky slammed VCs: 'They think the company was created because they gave money, and that they're entitled to a large part of its success.' His advice to founders: even when raising from VCs, scrutinize shareholder agreements and ensure investors are purely financial players — no voting rights, no board seat, no decision-making. 'If something goes wrong, you have cheerleaders trying to play the match instead of professional players. That's always a disaster.'
