mattturck · x · 2026-10-27
Gradium released its first free tools powered by Phonon, a 40M-parameter multilingual model. The debut tool, Gradium Read and Transcribe, is a Chrome extension that reads any webpage aloud and handles everyday text well.
For hard cases like acronyms, phone numbers, and dates, users can switch to the Gradium API, which handles them by default. A notably small model delivering practical page-level TTS.
