Revolut founder Storonsky: investor pushed me to fire my best engineer, so I removed all VCs from the board

Revolut founder Nik Storonsky ($115B company) says an investor tried to force him to fire his best person for being "too hardcore" — he refused. He argues most VCs aren't operational and can be dangerous with power, so he removed every VC from the board across funding rounds and now runs with only operators. When one investor pushed too far, he started his own fund to compete.
