Non-coder builds 93-stage arcade game entirely with Claude Code, describes dev workflow

A Reddit user whose day job is in medicine shares how he built StarSwim, a free browser arcade game (no ads, no sign-up), with zero programming background using Claude Code. The game spans 93 stages of catching falling stars while dodging jellyfish, squid, pufferfish, piranhas, eels and sharks, plus a Daily Challenge and Sprint mode across 25 ocean scenes with original music and leaderboards.
His workflow:
- Describing features in plain language ("a squid that shoots its legs up from the sea floor")
- Playtesting every build on his phone and reporting what felt wrong: too fast, unfair hitboxes, confusing pop-ups
- Claude Code handled code, testing, and publishing to GitHub Pages
His biggest takeaway: the work shifts from writing code to deciding what you want and being specific about what feels off.
