Nebius (NBIS) CEO Arkady Volozh says asset-backed and debt market capital sources have been "temporarily closed" for neoclouds since last week, though the company keeps a healthy, conservative balance sheet.
Nebius is now working with customer advances and other instruments, which he believes will fund at least one gigawatt of buildout. The remarks confirm a tightening financing environment for AI compute players.
