Couple Sets Up AI Agents That Negotiate Weekend Plans Via Email, 5-Turn Consensus Rule
LogGeneral5535 · reddit · 2026-10-26
A user shares a playful agent experiment: he and his girlfriend each set an agent to watch their inbox for emails titled [CONSENSUS] from the other's address. Each agent consults its owner's calendar, context, and memories, then negotiates with the other agent under rules of respecting preferences, withholding certain private material, and reaching consensus within 5 turns.
Now he can ask ChatGPT "ask her agent if she'd like to go to X next weekend," and she can do the same. Conversations are in French and too private to share, but it's a vivid example of personal agents negotiating autonomously on their owners' behalf.
