Giraffe: Open-Source Baseline Testing for OpenAI-Compatible LLM Endpoints
ImmediateBig8479 · reddit · 2026-10-26
Developer 0dust released Giraffe, an open-source tool addressing a common pain point: after changing batching settings, upgrading your inference server, or swapping models, the endpoint still answers prompts — but does it still handle your workload? Giraffe tests existing OpenAI-compatible endpoints against a saved baseline, checking response times and streaming stalls under load, answer correctness, structured JSON and tool-call behavior, and short-request behavior under long prompts. Ships with a CLI and local browser UI; the author is recruiting alpha testers among self-hosted LLM operators.
