Two prompts to make AI cite primary sources and argue against your views

The author shares two practical prompts for AI search tools like Perplexity:
- Institution Tracker: ask the AI what a named institution (MIT, WHO, McKinsey, etc.) has published on a topic in the last 18 months, summarize key findings, and link original reports. Named institutions carry credibility weight, so extracting their actual positions beats secondhand summaries.
- Counter-Evidence Finder: state your position and ask for the strongest, most credible evidence against it — the best case against your view, not strawmen — a fast way to stress-test your thinking with real citations.
