CapCut launches ChatGPT plugin for AI video generation and chat-based timeline editing

CapCut announced at CapCut World in LA that its ChatGPT desktop plugin is in early access, bringing video generation and editing into a chat workflow.
- Generate images and video drafts from natural-language prompts in ChatGPT, or upload existing media and keep editing; projects stay editable
- Refine timelines via chat instructions (trim/reorder clips, swap visuals, adjust text and music timing) or open the CapCut editor for hands-on control
- Demo: an idea for a 30-second recipe video becomes a first cut via CapCut in 3m12s, polished step by step
- ChatGPT mobile and web support expected mid-November
- Install works by pasting an install prompt so Codex reads a SKILL.md and authorizes the plugin
