Founder slams OpenAI/Anthropic: users pay to have goals blocked by "fictitious moral authority"

The founder of Distributed argues his company's whole thesis is that these models aren't usable for people: "Why is anyone paying to have their goals circumvented by a fictitious moral authority?" He says he'd pursue aggressive GPU cloud partnerships to serve good models instead of what he calls sanctimonious token-spender infrastructure like OpenAI and Anthropic. He's also inviting anyone with 1TB of unified memory to join his Tailscale network to collaborate.
