Crease: Open-Source Mac App for Vibe-Designing 3D-Printable Things with AI Agents
Whole_Art_2446 · reddit · 2026-10-26
The author open-sourced Crease, a Mac desktop app for designing 3D-printable objects: you describe what you want ("a desk organiser with a drawer"), and a coding agent of your choice (Claude Code, Codex, or Grok on your own account) writes the OpenSCAD, reviews its own renders, and pre-print checks walls, overhangs, bed fit, and moving-part collisions. Everything stays an editable local OpenSCAD project; multi-part builds get a parts list and step-by-step assembly guide; slicing via OrcaSlicer with optional send to Moonraker/Klipper printers; Blender support for sculpted parts. Apache-2.0 licensed.
