Claude Code audit finds 11,400 "vanishing" Instagram photos still cached on iPhone
TheMoonMidas · x · 2026-10-26
A developer ran a Claude Code audit on his iPhone backup and found two hidden cache directories: Instagram's vanish mode had kept 11,400 photos/videos from the past two years, and Telegram had 3,700 "self-destructing" files dating back to 2022 — none actually deleted. Both apps only hide content from the UI; it remains on disk. The cited thread collects 10 such Claude Code security-audit cases with prompts.
