MatheusWMac · reddit · 2026-10-26
A developer open-sourced OmniImage (MIT), a local-first spatial catalog for massive ComfyUI output collections where Windows Explorer chokes. Features: a spatial grid that pans/zooms through 40,000+ images without stutter; PNG metadata extraction showing positive/negative prompts, seed, sampler, steps, checkpoint and full workflow JSON; fully offline on-device semantic search via local CLIP (clip-vit-base-patch32 Int8) on CPU/GPU with no API keys; 5-tone CIELAB perceptual color filtering with side-by-side prompt diffing; and zero lock-in via dual-write SQLite FTS5 index plus JSON sidecars. Built with React 19 and SQLite, pair-programmed with Gemini. GitHub: github.com/owillfrost/omnimage
