Baidu's LeWAM paper added its name 17 days after submission, right after rival LeWAM papers appeared

An X thread highlights a suspicious naming timeline: Baidu's paper "Latent evolving World Action Model" was first submitted to arXiv on Sep 23 without the "LeWAM" label, then added it in the Oct 10 revision — just two days after two other LeWAM papers appeared on Oct 8. One is @randallbalestr's follow-up to LeWorldModel (claiming to be the only end-to-end JEPA with public code, checkpoints, and reproducible results); the other is parallel NVIDIA work that arguably popularized the WAM acronym. The quoter agrees many such papers are "AI slop" or adopt the JEPA label without following its core formulation.
