A three-question AI prompt for catching the assumptions behind social media envy

The author shares a prompt technique for using AI to defuse social-media comparison anxiety: when a stranger's beach photo triggers feelings of inadequacy, ask AI to separate what you actually saw from what you invented. The prompt: "I saw someone's holiday photo and thought their life was better than mine. Help me separate what I saw from what I made up. Ask me three questions about what I don't know. Don't invent problems in their life to make me feel better." The framing: what you saw is a person on a beach; what you assumed is that they've mastered being alive; what you don't know is everything else. AI won't know their private life either, but it can catch the moment your brain turns a nice photo into a personal insult.
