Making motion graphics with Claude and Remotion: video as editable React code
lmoroney · x · 2026-10-26
The week's popular "motion graphics with Claude" workflow is built on Remotion, an open-source library where every video is a React component: the model writes code, Remotion renders, and every frame stays editable, so revisions mean editing a line and re-rendering. Remotion now maintains official Agent Skills for Claude Code, Codex and Cursor covering compositions, timing, captions, maps and rendering — install with npx skills add remotion-dev/skills. The author recommends it for explainers and product demos since changes can be reviewed like code, and suggests starting with one 15-second idea, installing the skills, and requesting three still frames to check layout before rendering the full clip.
