Open-source verilix MCP server turns AI chats into a versioned knowledge base
Jin_se0 · reddit · 2026-10-25
Developer Jinse0 open-sourced verilix, an MCP server that gives ChatGPT/Claude-style tools a persistent, searchable knowledge base: AI saves conversation conclusions as structured docs, then retrieves relevant ones in future chats. Design highlights: Git-style versioning with snapshot commits and soft deletes, hybrid search (pgvector semantic + tsvector keyword), hand-built OAuth with DCR/PKCE and a consent screen, a dozen-plus tools, a knowledge-map web viewer and weekly digest emails. Stack: Next.js, Supabase (Postgres/pgvector/RLS), Vercel; free to use. Author seeks feedback on tool design and how much write autonomy to grant the model.
