Anthropic skipping the limit-reset wars may be winning it all, argues dev
iruletheworldmo · x · 2026-10-25
The author questions OpenAI's long-term strategy: resetting usage limits every three hours means much of its compute goes to users burning tokens on random tasks. Anthropic, meanwhile, has stayed out of the "reset wars" yet has the best model, more revenue, top talent, and a crushing enterprise business. The author argues real value is flowing to Anthropic and that OpenAI's approach may not be sustainable — everyone might just be building compute that Anthropic ends up using.
