Dev builds AI-powered IKEA instruction parser; Swedish tech voices urge IKEA to do it themselves

Indie developer nutlope demoed a tool that turns IKEA paper manuals into interactive 3D assembly guides ("never reading IKEA instructions again"). Linus Ekenstam, a Swedish AI voice, called it ridiculous that IKEA — with its talented tech team — didn't build this itself with Opus or Codex. He argues European companies should adopt a mandatory 50/50 rule (vs Google's 80/20) to unleash employee creativity and productize AI, since Europe lacks frontier labs and GPU clusters but excels at productization.
