Dev launches staygreen.io, a lifetime-free uptime monitor, after balking at $330/mo white-label pricing
PawelHuryn · x · 2026-10-25
Frustrated by paid monitoring services ($30/mo for a custom status domain, $34/mo for webhook alerts, $330/mo for white-label, no Stripe or Supabase support), Pawel Huryn launched staygreen.io — free for life.
The free tier includes uptime, SSL, DNS, TCP and heartbeat monitors; checks that read app responses; Stripe webhook and Supabase project checks; alerts via email, Telegram, Slack, Discord and webhooks; a custom-domain status page; and an MCP server for AI agents. Each app gets 50 monitors and 5 heartbeats, checked every 3 minutes from SF and Toronto, with commercial use allowed.
You just provide your app URL and it suggests monitors, thumbnails and branding colors. The author plans to open-source it after 500 users or 1,000 GitHub stars.
