Poll: Only 8.4% of X developers still hand-write over 20% of their code, vs 65% on Mastodon

mitsuhiko ran the same poll across three networks — "Do you still write more than 20% of code by hand?" — and got wildly different answers:
- Twitter/X (N=526): only 8.4% said yes, 91.6% no
- Bluesky (N=19): 26.3% yes
- Mastodon (N=126): 65.1% yes
The huge gap highlights how differently AI coding adoption skews across developer communities. charliermarsh shared the results noting the split is still stark even if less absurd than last time.
