Indie dev slams frontier labs: 95% of users just want an AI that gets them

@RileyRalmuto argues that every frontier lab has lost sight of what 95% of the population wants. Obsessed with beating each other and going viral inside the tiny AI Twitter bubble, they build fancy dashboards and clever task management — but that's not what consumers care about. His claim: 90% of consumers just want to chat with something that understands them and feels like theirs. By the time a meaningful number of users care about handing off real work, offering it will be as commodity as an alarm clock on a smartphone. He hints he may jump into the personal-AI space himself.
