Brex data: agent compute rentals surge, Baseten tops fall 2026 fastest-growing vendors
FinanceYF5 · x · 2026-10-25
Brex's Fall 2026 Benchmark ranks the 25 fastest-growing software vendors by spend across tens of thousands of customers, with Baseten at #1, followed by Modal, Greptile, Daytona, and Granola — 8 of the 25 are compute rental vendors. The theme: companies that give AI agents a place to run are capturing the spending. Buying a coding agent makes companies 16x more likely to rent agent compute within six months; the share of GPU buyers also renting compute rose from 12% to 29% in two years; and 31% of coding-agent buyers also pay for a web-browsing tool.
