Reddit user tengisCC reports that OpenAI is about to renew a business workspace that has been suspended and unused for nearly a year. When they asked for deletion, both the bot and human support kept repeating the same loop: cancel via account menu → Workspace settings → Billing → Manage plan → Cancel subscription, or pay the renewal.
The catch: that cancel path isn't available for suspended workspaces — the user sent screenshots proving it, yet support kept giving identical instructions. They fear accumulating a >$1,000 bill for something they aren't using and asked Reddit for advice. A real-world pitfall in OpenAI's billing flow for suspended workspaces.
