CapCut plugin coming to ChatGPT desktop, turning story prompts into editable video drafts
Med1_Ai · x · 2026-10-25
CapCut announced its plugin is coming to the ChatGPT desktop app. At CapCut World, CapCut and OpenAI explored new approaches to AI video creation, demoing a campaign concept inspired by the Tesla flying-car trend: a fictional delivery vehicle descends, a package opens, and a product is revealed.
The workflow: describe your story in ChatGPT desktop, which then calls CapCut Web to arrange your arrival sequence, unboxing shots, and messaging into an editable video draft.
Early access is desktop-only for now: copy the setup prompt from CapCut Web, paste it into ChatGPT desktop, and complete authorization. Mobile and web support is expected mid-November.
