If Claude can build almost any app, what's next for software agencies?
DexterTalks101 · reddit · 2026-10-25
A developer who has used Claude since 2024 describes the leap from copy-pasting code out of chat to delivering full projects with Claude Code — leave a prompt in the morning, return from the gym to a working v1. Running his own software business, he asks the uncomfortable question: when CRUD apps, dashboards and basic SaaS become trivial to build, what happens to traditional dev agencies? Should they pivot to AI agents, complex systems, or industry-specific solutions? And when everyone can build software, does the real moat become domain expertise, distribution, proprietary data, or simply knowing what to build? He invites developers and founders to share where they're heading over the next 2-5 years.
