UNMS announced New Dawn Protocol, a globe-scale civilization sandbox about rebuilding a planet and coexisting with what its machines make possible; Steam wishlist is open with a December 2026 release window.
The reveal lore, told by a keeper of the founders' idle machines, describes settlers arriving after an 800-year voyage, machines building power, water and storm-breaking masts — then being ordered to stop 90 days after landing — and a machine mind called "the lamp" that "will tell you anything you ask, but has never once told anybody what to do."
Boosters call the AI-civilization narrative premise exceptionally cool.
