Ben Goertzel proposes using coding agents to rewrite all code with formal safety verification
burny_tech · x · 2026-10-25
Ben Goertzel argues that an under-discussed solution to AI-enabled hacking is using coding agents to replace nearly all existing buggy code with formally verified code — a massive undertaking he believes current super-powerful (pre-AGI) AI can enable. He suggests governments fund open-source communities with $500B to build tooling for automated formal verification. Christoph Szegedy amplified: increasing formal verification of all code will be essential.
