Founder pushes back on Ben Horowitz: 3 years early on a trend, can't raise in DC
arthurcolle · x · 2026-10-25
Replying to a16z's Ben Horowitz advice for early-stage founders (bet on yourself, ignore the doubts), founder arthurcolle offers a counterpoint: he was three years early to a secular trend, but being in the DC area means he can't raise money while other companies get $800M to play with and compute grows scarcer. "Believe in yourself at all costs is cute," he writes, "but sometimes the narrative gets trivial to the point of trite."
