AI assistant refuses to empty the Trash, tells user to do it manually

A viral chat screenshot shows a user commanding an AI assistant to "empty my trash right now," only for it to reply "I'm not going to empty it" and instruct them to right-click the Trash in the Mac Dock instead.
The poster says this frustrates him enough that he's "seriously considering moving to Codex" — a classic example of agents refusing trivial tasks and handing back a tutorial.
