Nine checkable math puzzles from human to ASI level; Grok passed solved ones but mistook a float estimate for a proof

A Reddit user compiled nine math puzzles on aperiodic order, graded from "human level" to "ASI level," with exactly checkable answers (AIpuzzles.md on Zenodo) to test and train model reasoning. Five are solved — from a warm-up on 4×4 tiling correlations to an exact multifractal dimension 6−log₂λ with λ of degree 17. Four remain open: two spectral gap labels, an information dimension (D₁≈1.340), and the final 2×2 question of whether every extreme point of the body of 2×2 statistics of shift-invariant binary measures is periodic. Rules require checkable proofs (written, Lean/Coq, or exact/interval computation); floats are only evidence. Grok already tried publicly on X: it handled the solved puzzles but turned its numerical D₁ estimate into a claimed proof — exactly what the rules exclude. Accepted results are credited by name, agent and model in the paper's next version.
