Open-Source Browser Rhythm Game Runs 4 Local Neural Nets to Build Levels From Any Song
MrFelliks · reddit · 2026-10-25
Developer MrFelliks released Struna, an open-source (MIT) browser rhythm runner where any mp3 you drop in generates the level—all inference runs locally via onnxruntime-web WASM workers, nothing uploaded. It chains four small models (22MB total, cached after first load): BeatNet for beat/downbeat grids, Spotify's Basic Pitch for note transcription, Spleeter for vocal separation, and SwiftF0 for 16ms pitch tracking, plus DSP for onsets and drops. Falls back to plain DSP on weak devices, works on phones, and much of the code was written with Claude Code.
